The first stage of the 3-day Florida Xtreme C2C Triathlon, a 500K coast to coast triathlon across Florida! Stage #1 begins at Hunter Springs in Crystal River. Athletes will swim 2 miles, bike 102 miles, and then run 18.6 miles to finish at Carney Island Recreation Area south of Ocala.

DESCRIPTION: Stage #1 of the Florida Xtreme C2C Triathlon, a 3-day, 3 stage, 300+ mile, coast to coast triathlon across Florida.
VENUES: Stage #1 begins at Hunter Springs in Crystal River and concludes at Carney Island Recreation Area south of Ocala.
COURSE INFORMATION: Please note that all courses and distances are subject to change.
SWIM - A monitored 2 mile swim in the crystal clear waters of Hunter Springs. Athletes will swim multiple laps (TBD) of the swim course. The water temperature is 72 degrees year round, so wetsuit use is permitted. The swim cutoff time is two hours after the official start of the race. It is not uncommon to spot Florida Manatees while swimming.
BIKE - The 102 mile bike course will utilize roads and paved trails. Athletes will bike from Hunter Springs to the Carney Island Recreation Area south of Ocala. Cyclists are required to follow all traffic laws during the the bike segment as most intersections will not be monitored. The course will be well marked and bike SAG will be present. The event will provide and staff several support stations along the course, approximately every 20-25 miles, and participants can also receive support from their support team at designated support zones. The official bike cutoff time is 5:30 pm.
RUN - The 30K, 18.6 mile run is a three lap course on the dirt trails within Carney Island Recreation Area. Support will be offered and participants can also receive support from their team. The official cut-off time for the run is 10:00 pm.
